2011 Newsletter
Dear Supporters of Soccer Kicks 4 Kids,
As we've all settled into 2011, Soccer Kicks 4 Kids is excited to see what God has in store for us! Looking ahead we will continue to send soccer equipment world wide but we are campaigning for one main project this year. One exciting new aspect to the ministry is the launching and selling of Soccer Kicks 4 Kids t-shirts. My sister, Amanda, has been working with a local company to design our first t-shirt. Amanda will be selling these for her 6th grade service project. All the money raised from the t-shirts will be donated back into Soccer Kicks 4 Kids ministry. These t-shirts will be available towards the end of spring 2011. I received a sneak preview hoodie for Christmas and I am really excited about these! Amanda did an awesome job!
One main goal we would like to focus on is to raise $15,000 for the building of soccer fields in Koutiala, Mali. In Mali, Edward Bonvillain runs a soccer league for teens. A large percentage of the population in Mali is teenagers, so this soccer league provides a way to bring them together, while sharing with them about God.
Looking back on 2010, Soccer Kicks 4 Kids accomplished many things. We sent several shipments to Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Mali, Cambodia, and Haiti. In 2011, we plan on continuing to support these places as the needs asrise as well as any others that God leads us to. Throughout last year we've maintained great relationships with Athletes in Action, Swahiba Youth Network, and The Haiti Empowerment Project. We continue to work with our ministry partner, Global Youth Ministry Network.
In Nepal, we welcome a new addition to Global Youth Ministry Network in the opening of their Nepal office. Soccer Kicks 4 Kids is planning on supporting the Nepal office by sending soccer equipment to Nepal as needed.
We are very excited to take on the New Year and keep moving forward for God! Soccer equipment is always an ongoing need as well as monetary donations. We are pleased to announce that no salaries are being paid from the donations that are sent to Soccer Kicks 4 Kids. All administrative work is strictly volunteer! So that means, that all of your donation money is carefully being used to help the children that Soccer Kicks 4 Kids supports. Please consider making a difference in the life of a child and continue to donate to Soccer Kicks 4 Kids. Thanks to everyone who has previously donated or have become a monthly sponsor! Every donation will be put to good use and will make a difference in someones life.
Happy New Year 2011 and God Bless from everyone at Soccer Kicks 4 Kids!

Peace,

Thank you Medina Soccer League!
Thank you Medina Soccer League for hosting an equipment rally for Soccer Kicks 4 Kids on September 11 2010! Your support was awesome and we collected: $40 in donations, 14 soccer balls, 33 pairs of cleats, 8 pairs of shin guards, 4 pairs of socks, 16 training cones, 16 practice jerseys, and one pair of practice shorts. The timing could not have been more perfect as the following week a local Ontario family had a house fire and two pairs of the shin guards, cleats, and soccer balls blessed two of the children in the family who play soccer. The remainder of the equipment will benefit children worldwide! You did an awesome job Medina! See you in the Spring of 2011!

Soccer Kicks 4 Kids shipment of soccer balls and uniforms delights the children of the Battambang 3 Orphanage! My dad took this shipment with him to Cambodia. Cards were made by the children of the Ontario Christian Church. OCC raised $1,500 for Soccer Kicks 4 Kids at a shootout. 100% of the money raised was donated to the Battambang 3 Orphanage in Cambodia for school supplies and uniforms.
